The Ogun State Police Command has arrested 25-year-old Yetunde Gbadebo for attempting to sell her three-year-old daughter on Aladiye Street in Sagamu.
The incident occurred on July 25, 2024, at around 10:00 am. Gbadebo was caught negotiating a price of N700,000 with 38-year-old Sunday None. A resident reported the suspicious activity to the police, leading to the arrest of the duo.
During interrogation, Gbadebo denied the allegation, while None confessed to the crime. The police spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, stated that the case will be transferred to the state Criminal Investigation Department after preliminary findings are concluded.

In January 2024, a similar incident occurred in Anambra State, where a 38-year-old woman, Chinyere Chukwu, was arrested for attempting to sell her two sons, aged nine and seven.
